Family Child Abuse (All Ages Affected)
Where do they go? Whom do they run to? Whom do they tell? When the ones that they are supposed to be able to go to; the ones that they are supposed to be able to run to; the ones whom they are supposed to be able to tell are the ones who are abusing them: THEIR PARENTS.
Don't think that parents abusing their children are parents from low socio-economic environments. Parental abuse crosses all sections of life: low-socioeconomic; wealthy; all racial groups; religious and non-religious people; LGBT, etc.
We are talking about more than just parents: we are talking about family members, any relative.
Below is an article published in the New York Times by Mbabzi (2016) entitled Why would a father rape his own child?
"It reads like a script from a movie. A man rapes his own daughter resulting in a pregnancy and birth of a baby girl. Full of shame the girl flees home but returns after 17 years with a daughter who was fathered by her biological father. The shameless father also turns to the ‘daughter fathered with his daughter’ and also rapes her leading to a pregnancy. This is a real-life story that Police is grappling with following the arrest of the 58-year-old man in relation to this case last week in Kicukiro.
When the first incident happened the daughter feared to report her own father. She instead fled to a neighboring country after giving birth.
However, when life became unbearable, not knowing where to go, she went back to her father unaware that the misfortune that ensued 17 years ago was yet to re-emerge, only this time, her teenage daughter would suffer the fate.
Now living under the same roof, her 58-year-old father raped the child he had together with his daughter, now 16 years old. According to police reports the 16-year-old is now pregnant. Ghastly as this is, such cases happen all over the world."
As you read through this article, you find yourself saying: This is Unbelievable .... incomprehensible. And when you find out that this type of situation occurs all over the world you go into shock. But parent sexual encounters with their kids are even worse than what is described above: fathers who sodomize and rape their babies to where the children succumb to death; fathers and mothers playing house with their children ... mommy watching on as daddy rapes a child.
But it is even more than raping of kids by their own parents that can turn your stomach and make you want to vomit. All over the world, every night there are children who are screaming ... crying ... asking someone to help them from the infliction of pain and horror that their parents are forcing upon them. Merciless beatings so bad that they cause children to die; horrific and unimaginable activities from placing their children into hot burning ovens and allow them to burn to death as you go upstairs to bed to leaving your young child in a hot car to die while you were inside a cool house having a party with your friends.
Let's not forget the silent child abuser that leaves no outside physical scars but is just as detrimental and harmful as the types of parental child abuse mentioned above: Emotional child abuse by their parents.
What about other family members: It doesn't matter who they are: uncle, brother, sister, cousin, play uncle...they are all taking their turns inflicting violent and deathly or long-lasting harm upon kids.
But its more than just the neophyte or adolescent that is affected by family violence. Adults and elderly people and animals are victims: family violence can be emotional, physical, neglect, abandonment, etc.
