Societal Child Abuse (All Ages Affected)
SAFETY should always be a manufacturer or any type of business enterprises number one concern when providing a product for the consumer to use. Often times we find out this is not the case. Instead, greed took priority over safety.
Time Magazine wrote article entitled: "10 Worst Product Fails of All Time." It states: "The larger the company, the greater its capacity for taking risks. While pouring millions of dollars into market research and advertising campaigns can lead to tremendous successes, such ventures can also be a formula for the most miserable failures."
Nestles is one of the most hated companies in the world. It makes products for all ages, both human animals. However, it is guilty of "child labor, unethical promotion, manipulating uneducated mothers, pollution, price fixing and mislabeling – those are not words you want to see associated with your company. CEO's and other management are finding themselves faced with criminal charges against for their failure to deliberately and intentionally mislead the public. CEO Martin Shkreli', Bernard Madoff, Martin L. Grass, and many others put their greed over the best interest of the company and the consumers.
Pharmaceutical Fraud is one of the worse types of fraud against the consumers.
Other types of pharmaceutical societal child abuse issues include, according to Wikipedia, "involves activities that result in false claims to insurers or programs such as Medicare in the United States or equivalent state programs for financial gain to a pharmaceutical company. There are several different schemes used to defraud the health care system which are particular to the pharmaceutical industry. These include: Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) Violations, Off Label Marketing, Best Price Fraud, CME Fraud, Medicaid Price Reporting, and Manufactured Compound Drugs."
Major brand companies are not immune to failure to provide quality products. Fisher Price, Gerber,Total Parental Nutrition, Major Toy Companies, etc. have been sued because of deaths of children.
This twin rescues his brother from a dresser falling over him. Many children end up being killed. IKEA has been sued.
The tobacco industry has seen thousands of lawsuits due to a loved one dying or having cancer which resulted from smoking.
Automobile failure due to faulty equipment can cause serous injuries to people and / death.. As far back as the 60's, we can find lawsuits filed against the big auto giants due to safety and engineering problems which resulted in someone losing their life or being severely injured.
Lets nor forget about the dangers of truck drivers driving 112-14 hours a day, not getting enough sleep.
